The poem's from my chapbook Diaspora which is a collection of narrative poems telling the aftermatch of my grandfather's early 1900's immigration. I wrote in to recognize the 200th anniversary of the War for Greek Independence. Two other poems from it are on Medium "Manhattan" and "The Library." I find putting into this form gives a new perspective on the past and connects things that had appeared unrelated. Do you find that in your work?
